Keiji Suzuki defeated rival Kosei Inoue on Thursday at the judo national championships to secure a berth in this summer's Athens Olympics.
Fighting in the 100-kg final at Nippon Budokan, Suzuki outscored Inoue, who was looking to become just the third judoka in history to win four straight national titles. It was Suzuki's first victory in the 100-kg class at the national championships.
