Catcher Ryoji Aikawa drove in a pair of runs Thursday to lead the Yokohama BayStars to a 4-0 victory over the Hanshin Tigers and a three-game sweep of the defending Central League champions.
Aikawa, who drove in seven runs in Yokohama's 17-0 win over Hanshin on Wednesday, singled to left in the seventh inning at Yokohama Stadium to score the first two runs of the game.
The BayStars finished last in the standings last year but have been bolstered by the addition of former Seattle Mariners closer Kazuhiro Sasaki.
