Shuichi Murata hit a three-run homer and Ryoji Aikawa added a two-run blast as the Yokohama BayStars cruised to a 17-0 win over the Hanshin Tigers on Wednesday night at Yokohama Stadium.
Hanshin starter Katsuhiko Maekawa, acquired from the Kintetsu Buffaloes in the offseason, was rocked for seven runs on seven hits over five innings as the Tigers lost their second straight after winning their first three games.
Aikawa, who also had a pair of doubles, went 4-for-5 and drove in seven runs for the BayStars, who improved to 3-2.
