Japan's Olympic team will face Italy in its opening group match at this summer's games in Athens after the draw was made for the preliminary competition in the Greek capital on Monday.
Japan will then face off against its other group opponents the Netherlands, powerhouse Cuba, Australia, Canada, Taiwan and Greece.
