Veteran Kazuhiro Kiyohara belted a pair of homers Thursday to power the Yomiuri Giants to a 9-3 win over the Seibu Lions in baseball preseason action.
Kiyohara connected for a three-run homer off Seibu starter Kazayuki Hoashi as the Giants took a 4-0 lead in the first inning at Seibu Dome.
The former Lions infielder then added a two-run blast in the third inning to give the Giants a 7-1 lead.
At Tokyo Dome, Hichori Morimoto and Angel Echevarria each drove in a run in the bottom of the eighth as the Nippon Ham Fighters rallied for a 3-2 win over the Chunichi Dragons.
In Kurashiki, Norihiro Akahoshi tripled home the tying run and then scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Hanshin Tigers to a 4-3 win over the Hiroshima Carp.
Three other preseason games were canceled due to rain.
