Toshiba Brave Lupus will be hoping to get rid of an unwanted tag when it takes part in the final of the 41st Japan Championship at Tokyo's National Stadium on March 21.
Having finished as runnerup in both the Top League and the Microsoft Cup, Toshiba will take on Top League champion Kobe Kobelco Steelers in the season's finale, following Saturday's two semifinals.
While the Brave Lupus was having a relatively easy time in accounting for Yamaha Jubilo 33-12 at Chichibunomiya, the Steelers needed a penalty and drop goal in the final five minutes from Tongan international Pierre Hola to snag a 34-29 victory over the NEC Green Rockets, in a nail-biter at Osaka's Hanazono Stadium.
