The Orix BlueWave will solicit applications from the public for a new general manager with a fresh approach in a bid to return the team to profitability, the Pacific League club said on Thursday.
Former Hanshin Tigers manager Katsuhiro Nakamura has been performing the duties of general manager, but the club is looking for someone who can rejuvenate the team with fresh ideas and an original philosophy which can be put into practical use.
The club will screen documents and conduct interviews before deciding on whom to hire for the job. All applications must be received by April 30.
