IWATA, Shizuoka Pref. (AP) Brazilian striker Rodrigo Gral scored a pair of goals Wednesday as Jubilo Iwata defeated Thailand's Tero Sasana 3-0 in an Asian Champions League Group E soccer match.
Gral opened the scoring in the final minute of the first half at Yamaha Stadium and then doubled the lead in injury time to give the 2002 J. League champions a 2-0 lead before the break.
Midfielder Toshihiro Hattori scored on a penalty kick in the 81st minute to close out the scoring.
The win gives Jubilo sole position of top place in Group E. Tero Sasana and Chonbuk Motors of South Korea share second place on 3 points each, while China's Shanghai Shenhua is last with zero points.
On Tuesday, J. League side Yokohama F. Marinos cruised to a 4-0 win over Indonesia's Perski Kediri.
