Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes infielder Norihiro Nakamura on Saturday departed for Los Angeles, which he will visit before traveling to the Los Angeles Dodgers' spring training site in Florida. Nakamura will work out independently at the Dodgers' training facility before flying to Vero Beach, Fla., to take part in a training camp with the National League club. He is due back March 9. "If I see any differences in speed and power between major leaguers and Japanese players, I'd like to come back and be able to tell that to the young Buffaloes players," Nakamura said.
