The Kintetsu Buffaloes said Saturday that they will put the Pacific League club's team name up for sale after the 2005 season.

Kintetsu, which has been running a 3 billion yen deficit a year, want to sell the rights to the "Kintetsu" name but will continue to run the club's business operations while the club's base will remain in Osaka.

Kintetsu are looking to sell the naming rights for 3.6 billion yen a year in a five-year package.
