Point guard Kenichi Sako hit a three-pointer in the third quarter to extend the team's lead and keep the rhythm going as the Aisin Sea Horses went on to beat Toyota Alvark 73-57 in the men's national basketball championships final Monday.
The Aichi Prefecture-based Aisin, which claimed its third overall title by winning the final at Tokyo's Yoyogi national gymnasium annex, became the first team since the Panasonic Super Kangaroos in 1986 to win the national title for three years in a row.
