Masaaki Yanagishita, who will step down as coach of Jubilo Iwata after the conclusion of the Emperor's Cup, will be replaced by Takashi Kuwahara, the team said Sunday.
As acting coach, Kuwahara, 55, helped guide the J. League first division side to championship titles in 1997 and 1999 and has worked as a supervisor for the club since the 2000 season.
S-Pulse gets Shimizu
Shimizu S-Pulse has acquired midfielder Tomoyoshi Shimizu on a full transfer from Ventforet Kofu of the J. League second division, soccer sources said Monday.
Ventforet in turn has acquired defender Kazuki Tsuda in exchange from the first division side.
Elsewhere, Brazilian striker Amaral, who will leave FC Tokyo at the end of the season, will join Shonan Bellmare in the second division.
The 37-year-old, who has appeared in 101 games in the first division with 49 goals, has been one FC Tokyo's top players since the team gained promotion to the top flight in 2000.
Meanwhile, FC Tokyo said it has acquired 24-year-old Brazilian striker Lucas Severino from the French Ligue 1. Severino has appeared in 82 league and cup matches and scored 12 points.
