Japan LPGA tour player Riko Higashio, who recently took a spill on some steps, was diagnosed with a fractured right ankle on Monday after undergoing an MRI.
Doctors at a Tokyo hospital also said the 28-year-old Higashio suffered ligament damage to her left ankle in the fall and will require two weeks of rest before she can start rehabilitation.
