National team manager Shigeo Nagashima on Monday announced his full squad, comprised of nine pitchers and 13 position players, for next month's Olympic Asian qualifying baseball tournament to be held at Sapporo Dome.
Nagashima and coaches Kiyoshi Nakahata, Yutaka Ono and Yutaka Takagi chose 22 out of the 38 candidates selected earlier this year by Nippon Professional Baseball for the Oct. 31-Nov. 7 tournament.
Japan will face the semifinal round winners on Nov. 5 before playing against Taiwan and South Korea on the next two days.
