Hanshin lefty Kei Igawa won his sixth straight decision, tossing a six-hitter for his first shutout of the year as the Central League-leading Tigers downed the Hiroshima Carp 7-0 at Osaka Dome on Wednesday.
Igawa (9-3) went the distance on 150 pitches, walking three and striking out five for his CL-leading ninth victory as the Tigers extended their winning streak to six games -- their longest this season.
The Tigers scored three runs in the third inning on RBI hits by Makoto Imaoka, Norihiro Akahoshi and Shinjiro Hiyama.
