Former women's marathon record holder Catherine Ndereba of Kenya and Sydney Olympics marathon silver medalist Lidia Simon of Romania will enter next month's Sapporo International Half-Marathon, the Japan Association of Athletics Federations said Friday.
The 21.0975-km race on July 6 will be the first race for Simon since she gave birth to a baby at the end of last year.
Shigeru Aburaya, Tsuyoshi Ogata and Atsushi Sato, who will run in August's World Championships in Paris, will enter the men's race, according to the association.
