Bryant Nelson singled home the game-winning run as the Daiei Hawks rallied for five runs in the bottom of the ninth en route to a 9-8 "sayonara" victory over the Kintetsu Buffaloes at Fukuoka Dome.
With Kintetsu up 8-4 in the ninth, the Hawks loaded the bases before Kenji Jojima -- who belted a two-run dinger in the sixth -- hit a bases-clearing double to cut the lead to one run.
Noriyoshi Omichi then hit an RBI double to tie the game and Nelson singled for the game-winner. Nelson went 2-for-3 and hit an RBI double in a two-run seventh.
