Japan advanced to the final round of qualifiers for next year's Athens Olympics after brushing aside nine-man Myanmar 5-0 in the second leg of their double header in Tokyo on Saturday.
Having won the first leg 3-0, Teruyuki Moniwa put Japan on the road to victory with a first-half header before second-half goals from Tatsuya Tanaka, Yuki Abe, Daisuke Matsui and Naohiro Ishikawa sealed a comfortable win for Masakuni Yamamoto's young charges.
