Japan striker Takayuki Suzuki was told by Genk officials Thursday the Belgian side does not intend to re-sign or exercise his full transfer for next season, leaving Suzuki with no option but to return to Japan.

Genk, which postponed a decision on whether to keep the 26-year-old, announced on its official Web site that Suzuki "will play until the end of the season and return to the Kashima Antlers in June," revealing that his loan deal will terminate at the end of the 12-month period.
