Japan's Saori Obata defeated Hong Kong's Lee Si-nga Friday as the host nation improved to 4-0 at the Fed Cup Asia-Oceania zone qualifying tournament.
Obata cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Lee at Ariake Tennis Park while compatriot Shinobu Asagoe defeated Lam Po-ken 6-1, 6-1 in Friday's other singles match between the two Group One contestants.
Japan wrapped up first place in Pool A and will play the second place team in Group B on Saturday with a ticket to the Fed Cup World Group playoffs in July on the line.
