Tsutomu Ishimoto singled home the winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning as Nippon Ham edged the Seibu Lions with a 6-5 "sayonara" comeback win at Tokyo Dome on Saturday.
Tied 5-5 in the 11th with none out, the Fighters loaded the bases with a double and two walks. After Katsuhiro Nishiura grounded out to short, Ishimoto nailed a single for the go-ahead run to end the game, which saw 11 pitchers take the mound.
With the Lions up 5-1 in the bottom of the fifth and two outs, Michihiro Ogasawara hit an RBI single and Angel Echevarria followed with a three-run homer to tie the game for Nippon Ham.
