Shinji Ono started for the first time in four games after recovering from the flu and had a hand in Feyenoord's late winner in a 2-1 victory at NEC Nijmegen in the Dutch first division.
Pierre van Hooijdonk equalized in the 37th minute to level the scores after Rob Wielaert had scored an early penalty to put the home side in front.
In the 87th minute, Ono won the ball to start the move that led to Hooijdonk's second goal of the match and sealed all three points for the Rotteram side.
"I hadn't played the last three games so it was a bit difficult at first but I was able to keep going right until the end," said Ono.
Feyenoord remains in third place after 24 games on 52 points, four behind Ajax Amsterdam. Runaway leaders PSV Eindhoven top the standings on 63 points.
