Japan midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura could be transferred from Reggina to Parma after the current season, an Italian newspaper reported Thursday.

Corriere dello Sport said Nakamura has been put on Parma's wish list along with Brazilian midfielder Mozart as an option linked to a transfer deal agreed to Wednesday, which moves Reggina's Alessandro Pierini to Parma.

Nakamura joined Reggina last summer and completed a full transfer to the relegation-threatened club this week after the first-division side decided to take up an option to buy him for 350 million yen.

The 24-year-old, who was left out of Japan's World Cup squad, has played 17 games in Serie A and scored five goals. He has played 21 times for the national team, scoring five times. Fellow Japan playmaker Hidetoshi Nakata is currently with Parma.
