Kawamori, a Japanese Olympic Committee executive board member, died of a liver ailment late last month, sports officials said Monday. She was 54.
Kawamori, who became the first female JOC executive board member in 1991, died at a hospital in Suita, Osaka Prefecture, on Dec. 29.
