World champions Saori Yoshida and Kyoko Hamaguchi eased to victories at the national wrestling championships Monday, while Olympic silver medalist Katsuhiko Nagata won his sixth straight title.
Yoshida needed just 25 seconds into the women's 55-kg final to pin former world champion Hitomi Sakamoto with a fierce tackle at Yoyogi national gymnasium annex in Tokyo, adding to the world and Asian Games titles she won in the last three months.
Hamaguchi finished the round-robin 72-kg competition with a perfect 4-0 record to join Yoshida and Kaori Icho, winner at 63 kg, as world gold medalists who double as national champions.
