Fulham's Japan midfielder Junichi Inamoto will be out of action for a month after suffering an ankle injury during a league match over the weekend, the Premier League club said Tuesday.

After coming on as a substitute at the start of the second half against Birmingham on Sunday, Inamoto was caught from behind seconds after the restart and had to limp off just minutes later.

Fulham's club doctor said Inamoto has sustained ligament damage and is likely to be out until at least the middle of January.
