Former Brazil midfielder Cesar Sampaio will leave Kashiwa Reysol when his current contract expires at the end of the season, the J. League club said Tuesday.
The 34-year-old, who played for his country in the 3-0 defeat to France in the 1998 World Cup final, joined from Brazilian club Corinthians before the start of the season but has had a disappointing year, scoring just three goals in 26 appearances.

IWATA, Shizuoka Pref. (Kyodo) J. League champion Jubilo Iwata named assistant coach Masaaki Yanagishita as new manager on Tuesday to replace the outgoing Masakazu Suzuki, who will step down at the end of the season.
