Japan's No. 1 ranked golfer Shigeki Maruyama signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Toyota Motor Corp., officials of the carmaker said Tuesday.
The 33-year-old won his second U.S. PGA title at the Byron Nelson Classic in May and finished in 16th place on this year's overall money standings.
Maruyama teamed up with Toshimitsu Izawa to seal Japan's first triumph in 45 years at the World Cup last week.
