Nippon Sports Science University junior Masatsugu Onishi floored Keisho Shimoda to claim his first title in the amateur sumo national championships Sunday.
Onishi got the better of Shimoda in the early exchanges before twisting the Nihon University freshman to the dirt with an over-arm throw for the win in the final at Tokyo's Ryogoku Kokugikan.
