Jennifer Capriati will make her first appearance on a Japanese court since 1992 when the American plays in next month's Toray Pan Pacific tennis tournament, organizers announced Thursday in Tokyo.
Monica Seles, Jelena Dokic and Anna Kournikova will be seeking their first titles in the $1.3 million annual event slated for Jan. 28-Feb. 2 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.
The tournament will also feature Martina Hingis, Lindsay Davenport and Japan's Ai Sugiyama. All-Japan champion Saori Obata has been awarded a wildcard in the 28-woman draw.
