Takahara, who is reportedly eyeing a move to Germany after topping the J. League scoring charts with 26 goals this season, will join the first team of the German first division club from Saturday through Wednesday.

Quoting Hamburg SV sports director Dietmar Beiersdorfer, a German media report said the club has a keen interest in the 23-year-old who helped Jubilo Iwata win an unprecedented two-stage double and became the youngest-ever player to claim the league scoring title.

Jubilo president Takanori Matsuzaki, however, said Tuesday in Japan that he was annoyed by the news that Takahara will be heading to Germany this week and miss Japan's Under-21 training camp he is scheduled to participate on Dec. 9-11.

"We haven't been informed of such a move from anyone and haven't received a formal offer either, so I don't know what's going on. It's one-way traffic and we are furious that we haven't been involved in any talks," Matsuzaki said.

Takahara is due to begin negotiations on a new contract with the J. League first division side on Thursday.
