The Pacific League announced Wednesday it will hold games on Mondays in the 2003 season for the third straight year with Opening Day set for March 28, the same day as the Central League season openers.
All teams but the Kintetsu Buffaloes will host a total of 34 games outside their home stadiums, including 10 games at Sapporo Dome by the Nippon Ham Fighters who will move their franchise to Hokkaido in 2004.
The Daiei Hawks have abandoned a plan to play in Taiwan in 2003 after the Fukuoka club became the first Japanese team to host a regular-season game there this year.
