The Olympic Council of Asia stripped Indian runner Sunita Rani of two Asian Games medals and deleted her results Wednesday after she tested positive for the banned substance nandrolone.

Rani tested positive after winning gold in the women's 1,500 meters Thursday and the bronze in the 5,000 on Saturday.

The OCA made the decision after a second round of tests on "B" samples taken Tuesday showed the same results.

Yoshiko Ichikawa, who finished third in the 1,500 and fourth in the 5,000, received the silver and bronze medals, respectively, improving Japan's overall medal haul to 44 gold, 74 silver and 72 bronze. India slipped to eighth in the overall standings while Taiwan moved up to seventh.
