Shinji Ono's Feyenoord will play in Japan next summer as part of their preseason buildup, officials of the Dutch first-division club said Thursday.

The UEFA Cup winners will play at least one friendly in Japan in July, with the opposition yet to be decided, and are also considering taking in games in China and South Korea as part of their tour of the Far East.

Japan midfielder Ono has become a regular fixture since joining the Rotterdam club from J. League club Urawa Reds in the summer of 2001.
