In Kobe, the game between the champion Seibu Lions and the Orix BlueWave was rained out.
Seibu's Alex Cabrera, who has tied the Japanese single-season home run record of 55 and has three games left to try and break the record, said he was glad the game was postponed.
"I'm happy because I can rest my body now. If I'm in a good condition, I'll be able to hit much better, so I'll just go back to the hotel and rest," said Cabrera, who will have chances on Wednesday and Thursday against Orix to break the record.
