Japan's Kosei Inoue breezed through the field with four ippon victories to win his international debut at the men's open-weight category in judo at the Asian Games on Thursday.

Inoue, the world and Olympic champion at 100 kg, flipped over Abdullo Tangriev of Uzbekistan with his trademark "uchimata" inner thigh reap at 3:02 of the final at Gudeok Gymnasium for the championship.

"Ever since I started judo at a young age, I've always liked fighting against people bigger and stronger than me. After winning today while weighing just barely over 100 kg, my desire to continue competing in the open category has grown," Inoue said.

It was Inoue's first title against an international field in the open category, although he already owns two All-Japan championships.
