IWATA, Shizuoka Pref. -- Jubilo striker Naohiro Takahara scored four goals to highlight Iwata's 6-1 triumph over FC Tokyo on Sunday afternoon at Iwata Stadium, helping the first-stage champion take a clear lead in the J. League Division One second stage.
Takahara improved his tally to 18 to take the lead in the scoring competition, ahead of Gamba Osaka forward Magrao's 17.
Taking advantage of Tokyo's sloppy defense, Jubilo quickly took a 2-0 lead. A minute into the game, Jubilo midfielder Toshiya Fujita collected Tokyo defender Tetsuya Ito's failed clearance to fire home the opener from mid-range. In the 16th minute, Takahara also jumped on a Tokyo defender's clearance attempt for his first goal.
