IWATA, Shizuoka Pref. -- The Kashima Antlers avenged last year's Nabisco Cup semifinal loss to Jubilo Iwata by coming back to beat their archrival 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the annual tournament on Wednesday night.
Brazilian forward Euller, returning to the game for the first time since suffering a leg injury on Aug. 17, struck both goals for the visitors.
In the Oct. 2 semifinals, Kashima will play Shimizu S-Pulse. Shimizu beat host JEF United Ichihara 3-0 with Alessandro "Alex" Santos scoring once and setting up one goal.
