Shinya Miyamoto drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the 11th inning as the Yakult Swallows edged the Hanshin Tigers 5-4 at Koshien Stadium on Friday night.
With the win, Yakult remained unbeaten in the last 12 games and cut the Yomiuri Giants' lead in the Central League to 5 1/2 games.
Trailing 3-0, Yakult scored a run on Hanshin left fielder Fumikazu Takanami's fielding error in the seventh inning before Kosei Ono and Miyamoto added a pair of RBI singles.
