Alex Cabrera and Kazuo Matsui each homered twice Monday as the front-running Seibu Lions overpowered the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks 10-5 in a 14-hit attack in the Pacific League.
Tatsuya Ozeki hit a tie-breaking RBI single to ignite a six-run fourth inning, which also featured Cabrera's three-run homer and a solo shot by Kazuhiro Wada as the Lions grabbed an 8-2 lead at the Seibu Dome.
Cabrera added a solo blast in the sixth to increase his season total to 39 homers, moving into a tie for the league lead with last year's home run king Tuffy Rhodes of the Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes.
