Taiwan's Huang Yu-chen tied the course record with a 7-under-par 65 Saturday to take a two-shot lead into the final round of the NEC Karuizawa 72 tournament.

Huang moved 10-under 134 after a round featuring seven birdies at the Karuizawa 72 Golf North Course, while Yuri Fudo and U.S. LPGA player Akiko Fukushima climbed into a tie for second with Toshimi Kimura at 136 after 36 holes.

Huang, who started the day two strokes off the pace, began her charge by holing a 17-footer on the sixth and then birdied four of five holes from No. 9 before making back-to-back birdies from the 16th. First-round leader Wei Yun-jye of Taiwan faltered with a 73 on her way to 4-under 140.
