Naruto Kogyo of Tokushima Prefecture rallied for three runs on four hits in the seventh inning to beat Ichinoseki Gakuin of Iwate 5-3 in the second round of the national high school baseball championship Friday.

Ibaraki's Joso Gakuin blanked Yanagawa of Fukuoka 3-0 and Tamano Konan of Okayama beat Tochigi's Oyama Nishi 8-7 in 11 innings to join Tokushima Kogyo in the third round of the annual tournament at Koshien Stadium.

Naruto Kogyo, runnerup at this spring's national invitational tournament, came back from a 3-2 deficit to grab the lead for good behind back-to-back RBI singles by Kazuhiro Hamanaga and Kenta Umehara that capped a seventh-inning rally.

Joso Gakuin opened the scoring in the second inning with an RBI single by Naoki Hirano and Hideaki Iijima and Hiroyuki Uchida combined to pitch a six-hit shutout.

Tamano Konan tied it 7-7 with a three-run homer by Koya Onoue in the bottom of the ninth inning and scored the winning run on a two-out RBI single by Mikiya Kimura in the 11th.
