South Korea World Cup midfielder Yoo Sang Chul is to leave Kashiwa Reysol later this month, officials of the J. League First Division club said Tuesday.

Yoo, who is reportedly in negotiations with an unnamed European side, will leave Kashiwa and return to South Korea after the Chiba club's J. League match against the Urawa Reds at National Stadium in Tokyo on July 24.

Yoo joined the Yokohama F. Marinos in 1999 before moving to Kashiwa two seasons later and has made a total of 74 J. League appearances, scoring 36 goals.

The 30-year-old played a key role in taking South Korea to the semifinals of last month's World Cup finals.
