Dutch first division side Feyenoord has added Japan midfielder Toshihiro Hattori to its shopping list in the close season, a Dutch newspaper reported Sunday.
Rotterdams Dagblad said the UEFA Cup champion is ready to negotiate a loan deal for Hattori, a Jubilo Iwata defender who was a member of cohost Japan's World Cup squad.
Hattori played in one of Japan's four games at the World Cup -- the 1-0 victory over Russia in the first round -- as a second-half substitute.
The Rotterdam daily said Feyenoord has also had its eye on fellow Japan midfielder Junichi Inamoto since last year.
Inamoto, who scored two World Cup goals for Japan, has been released by English club Arsenal after spending an unhappy first year in Europe playing for the reserves.
On its official Web site, Feyenoord said Saturday it is interested in signing Inamoto, who will leave Arsenal at the end of this month with an eye to moving to another European club.
