World Boxing Council super flyweight champion Masamori Tokuyama said Wednesday he will fight Mexican challenger Erick Lopez in August in his fifth title defense.
The 27-year-old Tokuyama, who retained his title by knocking out Kazuhiro Ryuko in March, will take on the 13th-ranked Lopez at Saitama Super Arena on Aug. 26.
Tokuyama, a pro-Pyongyang Korean resident of Japan whose real name is Hong Chang Su, has a career record of 26 wins, including seven KOs, against two losses and a draw. Lopez is 17-11-3 with 14 knockouts.
