Consadole Sapporo manager Tetsuji Hashiratani has been fired by the J. League First Division side after only seven league matches in charge, club officials said Monday. South Korean assistant coach Chang Woe Ryong will take over from Hashiratani, who is working as a television commentator for the World Cup, prior to the resumption of the J. League first stage in mid-July. Sapporo has won just three points in seven league matches this season under the 37-year-old Hashiratani, who replaced former national coach Takeshi Okada in January.
