The Foreign Correspondents Club of Japan will hold a "Book Break" on Thursday, May 30, with Louis Chenaille, coauthor -- with Japan manager Philippe Troussier -- of the book "Passion."
The Book Break will consist of a dinner buffet (cost 1,575 yen) and a talk by Chenaille before a discussion session.
Chenaille, the Tokyo correspondent of French sports paper L'Equipe, has spent the last four years working in Japan covering the national soccer team's enigmatic manager and has come as close as anybody to understanding what makes the Frenchman tick.
"Passion," which recounts the life of Troussier in France, Africa and Japan, was published by The Japan Times in English and by NHK in Japanese.
All are welcome and reservations are recommended. Call the FCCJ at (03) 3211 3161.
