The Japanese World Cup Organizing Committee on Friday announced the details for changing the name of World Cup ticket holders following an agreement reached with FIFA to broaden the reasons for the change in Thursday's FIFA ticketing sub-committee meeting.
The Japanese organizers also said that 50,000 out of the 150,000 undelivered tickets did arrive in Japan on Friday and the remaining 100,000 are expected to come on Saturday. With these arrivals, JAWOC said that the distribution of tickets at the venues on the day of the games slated for early in the tournament, especially with the June 1 games, are mostly likely to be avoided. These tickets will be delivered to the purchasers by domestic courier.
The reasons for the changes now include cases "reasonable in common sense that won't allow you travel to attend the game" such as a business assignment or sudden illness.
