Tunisia midfielder Oussama Sellami left the country's World Cup training base Sunday after breaking the little toe on his right foot in Saturday's practice match against J. League second-division side Oita Trinita.

Sellami left for Tunisia on a chartered plane shortly after the 22-year-old was diagnosed with a broken toe at a local hospital in Oita Prefecture, where doctors said he needs to be sidelined for about six weeks.

Tunisia, currently based in Saiki for its final tune-up for the World Cup finals, will play Russia, Belgium and cohosts Japan in Group H.

Meanwhile Tunisia's assistant coach Khemaies Laabidi played down the importance of the defeat played less than 24 hours after the Tunisians arrived on a 26-hour flight.
