Dear Wayne Graczyk: I'm writing to express support for the move of the Nippon Ham Fighters to Sapporo. I think this would be good not just for the Fighters and the city of Sapporo, but for all of Japanese baseball.
So many Japanese cities have been reduced to the yearly visits of teams from other cities rather than having their own teams, that I'm sure TV ratings and general interest has suffered.
Why couldn't there be teams in Sendai? Niigata? Shizuoka? Kagoshima? These cities are much larger than many successful U.S. major league cities and have less things to distract them as well. My expanded baseball league proposal:
